Massimo Bucchi. He was born three months before Pearl Harbor.
After starting out as a crime reporter, he became an art director in advertising and publishing, he worked for Rpr, Mondadori, Giunti, Italstat, then moved to Repubblica where he was head of graphics, responsible for Satyricon and cartoonist. He worked for Oggi, Espresso, Panorama.
He published books for Mondadori, Marsilio, Saggiatore, Bompiani, Giunti, Gallucci. He has had exhibitions at Palazzo San Giorgio in Genoa, in Florence, Suzzara, Rome.
He was among Ferreri’s screenwriters for La Carne and Diario di un Vizio.
He won the Premiolino, the Forte dei Marmi award twice, and the Tolentino Biennale award for his career.
He hates those who consider the cartoon a flash of genius rather than the fruit of eight hours of work.
